On a Sunday, I got a text from one of my favorite photographers.
“I need a new website. Think we could work together?”
Mark Bowen is an established corporate photographer whose clients include many of the largest employers in Cincinnati, Ohio. I’ve admired his photography since the 1980s when we worked together in newspapers. What a great opportunity to help him showcase his work.
Mark needed a new website to replace an older, static site with limited visual interest and outdated graphics. We planned the new site as a web-based portfolio that looks as good on mobile devices as it does on desktop and laptop computers.
In the process of developing the site, Mark seized the opportunity to rebrand himself after 30 years as a corporate photojournalist. His new business name – Mark Bowen Media – encompasses not only his well-known still photography services, but also video production.
As his new brand emerged, Mark became more and more enthusiastic about the project. He even started blogging.
We rounded out the project with a streamlined new logo and matching business cards, letterhead, mailing labels and print ads. Mark credits his new website as a key marketing tool in snagging his latest clients, including international commercial shipping giant CSX.
